Why am I sharing stories of how I was inspired to create the name
and the inspirational messages on the shirts for
Over the years I have read stories of how businesses were started and how things were invented. Many times the person or people did not realize they were starting something special that would have a positive impact on so many lives.
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and witness first hand those early days, when an idea or business was in its infancy. To me those stories are magical. Many times they created something out of nothing. All they had was a dream.
A pile of wood is only a pile of wood until someone comes along with a special tool and uses the wood to build a beautiful home. A pile of words is only a pile of words, until someone comes along with a special tool to arrange the pile of words in a special order to inspire others to have hope and dreams. That special tool is their mind.
I like to think each day we see and hear things that inspire us. It is not something we are looking for. It is something that catches our eye and inspires our imagination. Finding inspiration is the first step in achieving a dream. It is up to us to take the first step in achieving a dream. It is up to us to take the the time to turn that pile of wood or words into something special.
The stories I shared of how I was inspired to create SUNGREEN and the ideas for the shirts was only the beginning. There was a lot of hard work and hardship along the way to make this dream come true. I had to teach myself how to use the programs to design this web page and spent countless hours transferring what is inside of me onto this web page and the shirts. Day after day I used a very special tool. That tool was my mind.
Along the way I was not thinking of the people who said I am taking too long, give up or I am going to fail. I wasn't thinking of the people over the years who said I have qualities that make me special and keep up the good work. We are lucky to come across people that are willing to take a pile of words and arrange them in a special order to to inspire us. Those words are a reminder that someone believes in us and we are not alone.

I used a number of tools to make this dream possible. The words of inspiration that people have shared with me over the years was one of them. Inspiration is a beautiful and powerful tool for all of us. It is up to us to take those words to heart. The inspirational messages and designs on the shirts are an extension of what is inside of me. I like to think when we create something, we have a chance to inspire and make others happy.
